Not your typical yoga teacher.


I'm a yoga teacher in Minneapolis, Minnesota. What is a clydesdale? In triathlons & running races, it means I'm a big dude. Why say it here? You don't see a lot of big burly dudes practicing or teaching yoga. I think it's important to say because I believe that this practice is for every body, big or small. 

Yoga has been part of my life for years and my practice has changed as life has changed. Having tried different styles, I believe that there is no one right way to practice yoga; there is simply the way that is right for you. Yoga, while an incredible practice with the body, is more than a workout, and can be a great way to find tools to live life with more ease. 

I teach a variety of slower practices, from the athletic to the meditative, with an emphasis on attention to breath and mindfulness. I'm a researcher in my day job, so my teaching is grounded in philosophy and informed by scientific evidence about movement. I continue to learn about anatomy, movement science, and psychology.
